Grades: Honor 1, HP 3, P for all others (my school is notoriously difficult to honor rotations, only the top 10-12% of students receive honors, the next 10-12% receive HP)

Quartile: top quartile

Research: 12 Items (mostly oral/poster presentations, a few papers in the works, not a major research person, mostly medical education focused)

Leadership: President/vice president for a few groups, other leadership experience within various different student groups. Bulk of leadership is focused on education and creating educational programs for other med students/college students on various topics. Some volunteering at free clinics. Bulk of application focuses on my work in medical education and my love for teaching

Info: looking at academic programs only. Interested in strong fellowship matches, thinking possibly pulm/crit. I love medical education and see myself pursuing a career in med education.

Question: Worried that I am only basing my list off of a good step 2 score not overall competitiveness. I'm not wildly concerned about getting an interview, mainly concerned about even with an interview, will I be able to match at the places on my list. Some of my signals are to really competitive places that aren't in my geo preference (mayo, beth israel, vanderbilt etc.) not sure if this matters that much or not.
