MD student from mid-tier school in midwest, from midwest trying to get anywhere else for EM. My stats: All honors on rotations except 1 HP, Honors on home and away subi, pretty confident i'll have solid SLOEs, step 1 pass first try and 258 step 2. No pubs but lots of presentations.

How many programs should I apply to??? I have a lot of big names on my list (vandy, CMC, ucinci, maryland, etc) and honestly not that many "safety" programs (like 5ish) and im at 48. SOS I am getting so many different answers.
