Hello, I am an incoming MS1 and was wondering how important are leadership positions during medical school for matching into competitive specialties like ortho, plastics, etc.? Right now I am interested in surgery and have seen conflicting things online about whether or not you need leadership during school to match into these kinds of specialties. Thank you!
