Hello!

Looking to see if the list I'm applying to is enough. I'm a very non-trad applicant who graduated in 2021 and originally did 1.5 years of FM before leaving to work in government public health. Came back to residency training in 2025 and is a PGY-3 in Preventive Medicine/Public Health. Have some past medical training red flags (withdrew from original medical school 15 years ago) and then of course withdrawing from a previous residency. Have a lot of life experiences since then and have been heavily involved in immunization advocacy. Eventually want to do peds ID. Have stellar LoR's from some pretty well known clinicians in the pediatric world (and my current PD wrote a great one too). I have pretty good institutional support from the peds ID department at my home institution for applying and have already talked with the peds PD a bit. That said, I don't want to take anything for granted even if I feel fairly good about getting into my home institution. The pediatric advisor here suggested applying to 20 (with the consideration that I want to either be in WI or MO). Of course my home program is one of the programs I signaled. Also I have passed every COMLEX Exam now on the first try (515, 435, 535). Appreciate the help!
