I didn't pass step 1 the first time, and my step 2 score was okay but not great (240). I high passed IM and Surgery. I have a PhD in cardiac physiology, 5 first author publications, 9 total, 8 other talks/posters. I also have done a lot of medical education including creating a course. I am trying to figure out which schools I will get screened out of and shouldn't even bother applying to. I am also worried because of my resume that smaller schools won't bother interviewing me because I clearly want to do academic medicine, but I am unsure if I am competitive at major academic schools. *Also please let me know if there is a school I should add.
